It was 3,800 miles. \u00a0George Moffett was \u00a0a wonderful man, curious and interested and a fine sailor. As we approached the vicinity of &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rockall\">Rockall&#8221;<\/a>, George said we should change course to see it, he was met by a chorus &#8220;but \u00a0George we are racing&#8221;. Without missing a beat George responded &#8221; Who knows if we will ever be here again?&#8221; I have never been in sight again, although very close by on several occasions.<\/p>\n<p>In this race our times were taken at two points; at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.feuerschiffseite.de\/SCHIFFE\/DAENEMA\/FS21\/fs21gb.htm\">Skagen light ship<\/a>\u00a0and at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.feuerschiffseite.de\/SCHIFFE\/DEUTSCH\/FEHMARN\/fbgb.htm\">Fehmarn lightship<\/a>. Our finish times shown on the last log entry.
