THE COLOR OF LIGHT
Shades of color change with every step. As the angles and intensity of light changes what we see evolves.
IMAGES THAT ARE THOUGHTS
Photography is another form of language. A means of communication. No different than words each image means something unique to the viewer. Communication is complicated. I suppose art is language.
ACCIDENTAL ART
Photography is an accidental art, more than any other form. Either being in the right place at the right time; or seeing a color, shape, or angle that is pleasing. We see the world as reflected light and we process those images through our perception of what we think we are seeing.
Here are images in the morning in sonoma county.

I MAY NEVER PASS THIS WAY AGAIN
I may never pass this way again. One never sees the same thing the same way twice. I have seen some remarkable things. I have taken a lot of photographs and I have missed some opportunities. I remember each lost image. I wrestle with some of the images because I have imposed myself on other’s lives. I try to ask if I am photographing someone. the spontaneity is often lost once the moment is interrupted. I have been taking photographs for over 50 years now and have a library spanning a broad variety of subjects. A chronicle of sorts of my life. Paul Mello has been full of encouragement about my latest images.
BLACK AND WHITE WORLD
Some days I see the world in black and white.
BLACK AND WHITE
I am still a big fan of black and white photography. The impression one is left with can change completely with or without color. Like so many other photographers I spent many an hour in the darkroom once upon a time.
The America’s Cup continues to attract a great deal of negative press. From my point of view it is deserved. However, once the final act is finished everyone will forget the bad and be filled with the results; the winner and loser. I only hope that San Francisco is not one of the losers.
FOG IN SAN FRANCISCO
simply marvelous.
ORIENTAL PARASOL
I have been photographing these lotus plants for years now.Winter, spring, summer and fall. I never tire of seeing them, watching them change.
CAMERA ABUSE
Despite the results, I am do not have the kind of courage it takes to do this to my own camera.
