It is a team sport, which involves more participation. I feel that the emphasis placed on the A &amp; B skippers is gone too far and diminishes the sense of team.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_jTb_cRUMExg\/TEmyl1rSIrI\/AAAAAAAACfg\/GXMr_oGPZYM\/s1600\/news+12.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_jTb_cRUMExg\/TEmyl1rSIrI\/AAAAAAAACfg\/GXMr_oGPZYM\/s320\/news+12.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; I still keep many fond memories of college sailing. We thought of it as competitive, but pales by today&#8217;s standards. Short courses, lots of starts, no ratings, teamwork on the boat as important as that of the team.<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp; <br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cycracetomackinac.com\/\">The Chicago Mackinac Race<\/a> starts tomorrow, wind at the start diminishing over the next 24-30 hours and filling for the small boats; as it looks now.
