Germany\u2019s L\u00fcrssen Yachts on Friday launched what is now the largest superyacht in the the world.<\/p>\n

Named Azzam, the superyacht measures an astonishing 180 meters (that\u2019s 590 feet!), beating out the former World\u2019s Largest Superyacht title holder, Roman Abramovich\u2019s Eclipse, which only measures a measly 536 feet.<\/p>\n

The Azzam was designed by Italian yacht designers Nauta Yacht Design, and built by L\u00fcrssen at the company\u2019s yard in Bremen, Germany.<\/p>\n

The superyacht is rumored to have cost a whopping\u00a0\u00a3450 million, paid for by a so-far unidentified owner.<\/p>\n

The 180m Azzam is said to have a top speed of 30 knots.<\/p>\n

L\u00fcrssen says the yacht will be delivered in the next few months following sea trials and final detailing.<\/p>\n
