Like the half billion dollar Dogzilla which sailed only briefly-was it actually two days of official racing?- and then disappeared from view- the amortized cost per sail of these high tech flying cats is almost beyond comprehension. And based upon the previous problems exhibited in structural integrity, gybing dangers, and team learning curves, these high tech flying machines are likely mothballed to museum exhibit status post Am Cup 2013; beyond the abilitiy of anyone other a mega-billionare’s professional worldclass hand picked team of experts to even attempt to successfully sail.
Stephen – want to go in a partnership? Looks like it might be fast here in Narragansett Bay. What say you? Bill
