I never tire of watching hummingbirds. They seem to love the Agaphantus, and here the blue more than the white.

The architectural heritage of Los Angeles is incredibly deep and rich. The art Moderne (art Deco) era is no exception. The Eastern building is the icon in Los Angeles, just as Radio City Music Hall or the Chrysler building are in New York.

Union Station in Los Angeles is another architectural marvel. It was too difficult to make it part of a group entry, as it deserves more attention. Waiting is never a pleasant thing to do, but if you must, I cannot imagine a more agreeable environment. inside and out it makes the best of what can be difficult.

Walking, yes walking in Hollywood there is not limit to the sights. There are architectural riches not to be believed. Of course people watching at an equally remarkable level. Those who desperately want to be seen and those who just want to be themselves.

Today was the tour I have been waiting to do for 8 years. Broadway in downtown Los Angeles.
The Chocolate Factory, hidden away for years, is now destined to become a trendy restaurant.
The Los Angeles Theatre, I was in once before when Justin Timberlake was making a music video, but I had only a small camera, this time I was able to take photographs without interfering with anyone.
There are so many more treasures here in Los Angeles, some already gone; some saved thanks to the efforts of the Los Angeles Conservancy.
When the children were young we used to drive to see the christmas lights some of which were year round efforts. These are from Los Angeles where I still have trouble reconciling the christmas season. Somehow I imagine christmas, particularly a white christmas among the trees being a New England tradition. Silly as this might be, even when I know better, somehow I still hold that thought in my mind.
Dancing cowboy, I was on my way somewhere else and could not stop to take good photographs, hoping he would still be working when I returned. No such luck; so these are the best I have. I have a friend who says “the best camera you have, is the one you have with you”. It applies to the images as well. You have to stop and take the photo.
