Probably the first time I heard of the Oregon Trail was a western movie. It was much later before I heard about the Oregon Trail in school; and it was this summer I actually saw it.

For me, there are many similarities between Oregon route 20 and Nevada route 50.
The 20 was the Oregon trail and the 50 was the pony express route. Both cover a long stretch where little grows and few people live.
