Grand Central Station turns 100 years old. Tomorrow there will be an official celebration. There are many ties to Newport; the Vanderbilts had the Breakers as a summer house here. George Warren was one of the architects involved.
GCT or Grand Central TERMINAL is just that. Technically it is a TERMINAL because it is the Origination and Terminus point for train travel into an out of NYC. No trains originating at any other station pass through GCT, they either start or end there.
